Delivery Cost
For all main play systems prices are fully inclusive of VAT and delivery to your UK mainland address.
For smaller accessories, where not ordered with a main play structure there is a delivery charge of £8.16.
Delivery Times
For large play structures only, the courier company will contact you, usually 48 hours before delivery to confirm your delivery date with you.
For accessories, delivery is typically around one week.
For people paying by cheque, you need to factor in the time it will take to get the cheque to us in the post and the time it will take for the cheque to clear. For people paying by credit card, your payment is obviously received immediately and your order will be processed straight away.
Delivery for main play structures is quoted as 5-10 working days, but can often be quicker.
The courier companies deliver Monday to Friday only.
The Day of Delivery
On the day of delivery you will need to have someone present at the delivery address who is able to help the delivery driver unload your products. Your play structure will arrive in multiple boxes which will be heavy, so having someone available who can assist the delivery driver is essential.
It is likely that you want to assemble your play structure at the bottom of your garden. Unfortunately, the delivery driver is only required to deliver to the front of your house and will not assist with carrying the play structure to the bottom of your garden, or through your house.
Inspecting Your Delivery
BEFORE SIGNING FOR DELIVERY - please check that you have received ALL the packages necessary to build your play structure and that none of the packages are damaged, missing, or open. Packages are labelled 1/7, 2/7 etc. for easy checking.
If a package is missing then delete the part on the form the delivery man asks you to sign where it says 'Received in good condition' and sign 'MISSING' or 'INCOMPLETE'. If you see that something is damaged then delete the part on the form you are asked to sign where it says 'Received in good condition' and sign 'DAMAGED'. If you do not have time to inspect the goods, or there is ANY discrepancy, such as a package being open, or you are in any doubt , then indicate your concern on the sheet (eg. 'Goods arrived open and have not been checked') and make sure you delete the sentence that says that the goods were 'Received in good condition'.
If you fail to do the above then you are stating that you have received ALL of the goods and that they are all in good condition. This means that if there is a problem the courier will not accept any liability for damage or missing items, as you have stated that you received it all and it was in good condition. Under these circumstances we will be unable to replace damaged or missing items free of charge.
Please bear in mind that if someone else (a neighbour or relative) signs for your delivery then they are signing on your behalf and the responsibility for checking the goods and noting any problems falls on them as your agent.
It is NOT recommended under any circumstances that you allow items to be left in a porch or other 'safe' area, regardless of any arrangement you may have with a delivery company. The items that are sent out by Garden Playground Equipment require a signature upon delivery - unless a customer has asked for the delivery to be left somewhere such as a porch. Garden Playground Equipment will be unable to do anything to help you if a delivery company says that they left the goods unattended and they are subsequently reported missing or damaged.
Missed Deliveries
For main play structures the courier will contact you to arrange delivery. If, having made arrangements with you, they are unable to effect delivery after two attempted deliveries, which they have notified you of, then a re-stocking charge and subsequent re-delivery charge will be applied. The cost of this will vary depending on item and delivery location.
