Ordering Online with us is safe and secure !

All information related to your payment is conducted on a secure server. This online system is 100% secure.

The Garden-Playground-Equipment.co.uk web site is owned and run by Christopher Peter Taggart O'Connor, a sole trader.

We encourage you to feel comfortable using your credit card to conduct commerce on our site. If you prefer, you may send us a personal cheque. Personal cheques will delay your order by a few days as we must wait for your funds to clear before we ship any merchandise. Our supplier has a target of delivering products, where in stock, within 5 business days. Sometimes this may not be possible, for example, if the product goes out of stock. If that target cannot be met then once we are aware of the situation we will contact you and provide you with the option of cancelling, choosing an alternative product, or waiting. Your product will always be sent to you within 30 days of receipt of cleared funds. For more information on deliveries please see our delivery page.

Please note that cheque payments will ONLY be accepted in Pounds Sterling and drawn on UK bank accounts. Cheques must be made payable to C P T O'CONNOR. To order by cheque, just print the order form with your shopping cart contents from the order confirmation page and complete the necessary fields, then mail the form to :

Your Rights
We will fully uphold your consumer rights under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. Problems, Returns & Refunds

As with any flat-packed product, occasionally there may be a wrong part supplied, or maybe a part missing. This is a very rare event, but sometimes it does happen. If this happens we would ask that you contact us straight away. We will speak to the manufacturer/supplier and ensure that the missing or incorrect part is with you as soon as possible.

If merchandise is defective or damaged upon receipt then again, please contact us immediately after your product arrives so that we can get the situation resolved as quickly as possible. This assumes that delivery inspection was carried out in accordance with the delivery tems and that any missing or damaged items are outside of those that could have been identified upon delivery.

You have the right to return the goods within 7 working days. Providing the goods are returned in the same condition that they were in when they were delivered to you then a full refund will be given within 30 days (usually within 7 days) of the goods being returned. The cost of returning the goods will be charged to you at the rate that we are charged by the supplier. We reserve the right to examine photographs of products claimed to be defective. Goods will not be accepted for return unless by prior arrangement with us first. As part of the returns procedure you will be advised of the correct address for product returns. Under no circumstances must goods be returned without prior arrangement as they can not be accepted and will be returned to you. Please bear in mind that the cost of any returns must be borne by you, the customer, unless the goods have been accepted back as defective.

For the purposes of clarity the above phrase stating 'same condition that they were in when they were delivered to you' means that the goods must be sent back in their original packing, unopened, so that they can be re-sold. Items cannot be returned once opened, part, or fully assembled, unless they do not comply with the descriptions given, are IRREMEDIALLY faulty, or not fit for the stated purpose.

Where goods are claimed to be defective we may require you to provide photographic evidence of the fault so that this can be inspected prior to the problem being rectified.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Warranty

Subject to proper installation and normal residential use. The play systems carry a 10 year guarantee against wood rot.

Timber is a natural product. Cracks, shakes, and fissures may occur as timber dries. This is a normal process and does not affect the overall strength and durability of the timber. The timber will change colour over time and may also contain knots and knot holes. These are naturally occurring in all pressuretreated wood and are not covered by the warranty.

Your warranty covers the replacement of these goods. It does not cover any travel expenses, lost wages, or labour costs involved in the installation or replacement of the part.

No warranty is offered on products subjected to abuse, negligence, improper use, acts of God, adaptation, or attachment to equipment other than our own.

Non-residential use of the products is prohibited and such use will void the the warranty. These systems are designed for residential use only.

Assembly

Full step by step instructions are provided with every item. Please follow all assembly instructions and do not carry out adaptations to the play system. Any adaptation will not have been subjected to independent testing and will void your warranty, as well as potentially put children at risk.

All items are to be assembled by an adult. All screws and bolts, together with fixing and anchor points should be checked and, if required, adjusted at least twice a year. Failure to do so may result in falls, or the product overturning. Always replace damaged parts immediately.

Maintenance

The pressure treated timber will naturally, over time, change colour through green, to brown, and then turn grey. To reduce this colour change the timber can be treated once a year with a good quality wood stain. Please ensure the suitability of the wood stain before use. Application of wood stain to the product is optional and for cosmetic reasons only. The natural change in colour in the wood does not affect it's strength, durability, or your warranty.

Delivery Information

PLEASE NOTE - We ship to mainland Scotland, England & Wales. All main play structures will be delivered to these destinations free of charge. If you do not live on the mainland and your delivery requires crossing water then it is worth noting that previous customers have arranged delivery to a mainland location and then arranged their own transport/ferry to their island location.

We DO NOT deliver outside of mainland Scotland, England (including Isle Of Wight), and Wales. Orders placed for delivery to the USA or other countries will be cancelled without notification. If you have placed an order for delivery to an area outside of the specified delivery locations and your card has been debitted then you will be refunded within 30 days.

Accessories purchased on the same order as a main play structure will also be delivered free of charge. Any accessories purchased without a main play structure being purchased at the same time will be subject to a £8.16 delivery charge.

Where the item is in stock the delivery can be expected within 5 working days. There may be rare exceptions to this and we will endevour to inform you of this should the situation arise. I will not be held responsible for any problems caused by third parties, such as delivery companies as these matters are out of my control.
